New PTF Line of Tablet Friability Testing Instruments
We are happy to announce the new Pharma Test line of tablet friability testing instruments. These new instruments are available with one, two, three and six drums and are called PTF 110, PTF 210, PTF 310 and PTF 610. They replace the previous models PTF 100, PTF 200, PTF 300 and PTF 610 which are now discontinued.

1. Improved Redesign
All instruments feature a redesigned housing made from brushed stainless steel and new mechanics. The visual instrument design is based on the already introduced new PT-LT100 leak tester and the upcoming PTB 330 tablet hardness instrument. The new line with PTF 110, PTF 210, PTF 310 and PTF 610 continue to use the existing software and electronics of the previous models and thus retain all already available features.
The ease of use of the new three drum and six drum instruments has been improved significantly. The drums can now simply be slid onto and off the axis one by one. There is no need to lift the axis from the bearing to remove or insert drums anymore. Furthermore, the six drum instrument PTF 610 now features three drums on the left and three drums on the right side instead all six on one side.
2. Printer is Standard
All models now include an integrated printer in the standard scope of supply. An external ticket printer can still be used alternatively as well. Furthermore, the PT-Node network adapter is supported.
3. Unified Drum Designs
With the introduction of these new models, we have unified the drum designs. All new PTF instruments will use the exact same drums from now on. This means for each drum type (friability, anti-static coated friability and abrasion drum) there is now only a left side and right side version, which fit all new and existing PTF 110, PTF 210, PTF 310, PTF 610, PTF 10E, PTF 20E, PTF 100, PTF 200, PTF 300 and PTF 600 instruments.
4. Availability
PTF 110, PTF 210, PTF 310 and PTF 610 are available for order now. The instrument prices for PTF 310 and PTF 610 remain the same as the current prices of the previous models. PTF 110 and PTF 210 now include the integrated printer in the standard scope of supply at a slightly increased base price (the increase is lower than the price of the printer upgrade of the previous models).
5. Discontinued Previous Series
The previous PTF series, including PTF 100, PTF 200, PTF 300 and PTF 600, has now been discontinued. Any remaining instruments available from the current production batches will be sold on a first come, first served basis.
