Founded in Germany over 40 years ago Pharma Test is an internationally leading manufacturer and household name for the development and production of high-value test devices and systems. We offer a complete product range from manual, physical testing instruments to fully automated, analytical test systems to analyze the active chemical composition of a dosage form as well as its release rate.
The Two Product Categories of Pharma Test

The company was founded in 1979 by Franz J. Fähler to fill the gap in the equipment range. Today Pharma Test offers a wide portfolio in the two product categories “Galenic Instruments” and “Dissolution Testing”. Pharma Test Dissolution Testing systems are used for the quality testing of solid dosage formats like tablets, capsules, suppositories, ampoules and bulk materials. The Galenic range features all instruments used for the testing of physical parameters of solid dosage formats and of powders and granules.

| 1982 | First participation at the international trade show ACHEMA in Frankfurt/Main, Germany |
| 1990 | Moving into new administration and production plant. More than 3.500m² of modern facilities allow for future growth |
| 1996 | Implementation of the ISO 9001 certified quality management system |
| 1997 | The manufacturing plant Pharmag GmbH in Klipphausen, Germany is purchased and becomes the major supplier of equipment and components |
| 2000 | Opening of the sales and support office in England covering the UK, Iceland and Ireland |
| 2004 | Founding of a sales and support office in Toronto/Canada covering Canada, USA and Mexico |
| 2005 | Introduction of the new UAM Pilot Plant line of equipments made by Pharmag |
| 2006 | Opening of the sales and support office in Cairo/Egypt covering the entire North Africa |
| 2008 | Enlargement of the production capacity at Pharmag, now more than 2.500m² administration and production facilities are available |
| 2009 | Pharma Test changes its legal status from GmbH to AG, a privately owned joint stock corporation |
| 2012 | Opening of the sales and support office in Bangalore/India |
| 2012 | Relaunch of Pharma Test brand presentation and website with our new slogan „The German Gründlichkeit" |
| 2016 | J&M Analytik AG, a manufacturer and pioneer of fiber-optic diode-array spectrometers is purchased and added to the PHARMA TEST GROUP |
| 2018 | Relaunch of the Pharma Test website and integration of the J&M and Pharmag sites |
