TIDAS® OEM ASPEN Electronics

ASPEN is a new platform for universal data acquisition and processing for different sensor devices – NMOS, CCD, InGaAs, PD, APD and PMT.

The Advanced Sensor and Processor Electronic with Network interface (ASPEN) is a universal spectrometer electronics family used for data acquisition with different sensor types:

• NMOS detectors in the UV and VIS range
• InGaAs diode arrays for the NIR range
• CCD sensors for low light applications

The ASPEN electronics family consists of a specific sensor board (supporting different sensors / manufactures) and two versions of CPU board for data collection, processing and transfer:

High Performance ASPEN CMU-FX25

The core contains a built-in Virtex-4 Chip from XILINX, which combines FPGA technology with a high performance PowerPC for on-line data processing and evaluation. The separation of data acquisition and data processing allows streaming of the measurement data quickly and safely via TCP/IP into the PC application. No data will be lost due to the available on-board memory space, which allows buffering of up to 2000 spectra. An additional add-on board for sensor cooling is directly stackable on to the main board. Various peripheral devices enable additional functions such as external hardware control, data acquisition or system diagnostic functions.

Basic ASPEN CMU-LX4

Based on the technology of the FX25 the CMU-LX4 with USB 2.0 interface is a price attractive processor board for higher volume applications.
