The stainless steel BM-5 Ball Mill is used for grinding and mixing of solid and crystalline substances. The ball mill is suitable for size reduction in both, dry and wet operation, for solids as well as for slurries. Construction and Components
The BM-5 Ball Mill consists of three main parts: a double roller track drive unit on an adjustable metal support, which is attached directly to the UAM Universal Motor Drive, a stainless steel mixing drum and stainless steel (optionally porcelain) milling balls. The stainless steel drum, cover and the stainless steel (optional porcelain) milling balls are made of GMP compliant materials that may be sterilized in accordance with GMP.
Easy Connection
The double roller track drive unit can be connected directly to the UAM Universal Motor Drive and has an adjustable height to be levelled at the work bench. The drum lays on a double roller track and the rotation speed can be smoothly adjusted via the UAM Universal Motor Drive. The cover of the drum is fixed by a knurled screw and a support set, which forces it against a rubber gasket creating thus an air-tight sealing mechanism.
