The PFM-L Suppository and Lipstick Molding Apparatus is used for mixing, dosing and molding of semi-solids of high melting points. Practical applications are the molding of lipsticks and suppositories, and the processing/dosing of Pharmaceutical or Cosmetic preparations that require pre-melting of raw materials or successive heating of end products. The PFM-L Suppository and Lipstick Molding Apparatus consists of a stainless steel vessel with heating double jacket, an agitator, and a dosing mechanism.

Practical Design

Furthermore, it is provided with a metal stand, which can be fixed and adjusted easily. The heating is performed by means of an electrical heater (1000 W) and a heating fluid that circulates into the double jacket.

The practical design of the PFM-L Suppository and Lipstick Molding Apparatus offers a simultaneous heating and agitation of components even during dosing. The agitation of the molten mass contributes, together with the heating system, to guarantee a uniform heat transfer through the molten mass itself.

Operating Principle

The sled beneath the filling nozzle can carry any type of molds. It is adjustable for moving in all directions and can be easily controlled by a handwheel. The production rate of the PFM-L Suppository and Lipstick Molding Apparatus varies depending on many factors such as: viscosity, surface tension, heat transfer coefficient of the material.

It may produce up to 4000 standard suppositories per hour. The PFM-L Suppository and Lipstick Molding Apparatus and its sled can be attached directly to the UAM Universal Motor Drive. All contact parts are made of GMP Compliant materials and can be sterilized in accordance with GMP.
