Shear Double Ribbon Mixer
Through the smart construction of the PSM-8 Shear Double Ribbon Blender a twin set of ribbon blades run with different rotation speeds and generating an efficient axial and radial shearing, folding and recombining. Helical Ribbon Mixers are suitable for mixing of powders, wet powders, granules as well as for mixing of light pastes and creams. Hence, depending on the powder properties, they could be also compatible with some limited wet granulation processes.
Operation Mode
As the material is pulled and squeezed against the blades, the saddle and the side walls, the repetitive combination of bulk movement, shearing, stretching, folding and recombining presents the reason behind the high efficiency and quick performance in batch mixing of the PSM-8 Shear Double Ribbon Blender. The PSM-8 Shear Double Ribbon Blender is equipped with a “Reed Relay Safety System” at the cover to increase operation and handling safety.
Clearly Visible
The PSM-8 can only be operated while the cover is closed. Furthermore, the transparent cover facilitates the visual observation of the running process by the operator. The PSM-8 Shear Double Ribbon Blender can be directly attached to the UAM Universal Motor Drive, which in turn allows the operator to smoothly adjust the speed. All contact parts are made of GMP Compliant materials and can be sterilized in accordance with GMP.
