The UGD Universal Gear Drive is used to transform mechanical motion from the UAM Universal Motor Drive to a variety of flanged attachments presented in the scope of the Pharmag Pilot Plant System.
Operation Mode
Through this transformation, the UGD Universal Gear Drive reduces the drive speed at a ratio of 10:1 while simultaneously increases the torque (x10) necessary for performing processes using the attachments, such as: Powder Blenders (Cube, Double Cone, V-Blender), Mini Ball Mill, Pelletizer and Coating Pan. The UGD Universal Gear Drive can also adjust the operation angle into a range of approximately 90°.
Optimal Arrangement
Unlike some similar devices, the UGD Universal Gear Drive has been designed in such a way, so that the operator can always view the ongoing process when any attachment is been mounted on the front of the UAM Universal Motor Drive.
